The Ellipse Building team of tradesmen are at all times professional and Neil's superb attention to detail ensured that all works were completed to a superior standard.
LOWER NORTH SHORE EXTENSIVE RENOVATION
"We recently employed the services of Ellipse builders for the extensive renovations of our 4 storey, Victorian terrace. The scope of the work included gutting of the interior, the total re-build, the replication, duplication and reinstatement of original features and the final fit-out and finish, including much of the cabinetry.
Neil and his team of tradesmen were at all times most professional and Neil's superb attention to detail ensured that all works were completed to a superior standard.
It was a difficult build with limited access and many hidden 'surprises'. Neil kept us informed and updated at every stage. One of the things that impressed us most was his adaptability and ability to discuss with us any problems and issues as they arose and to present options and alternatives as how best to address them, always mindful of budget constraints.
Neil showed the same care and respect for our home that we have and the end result is a testament to this. We are now enjoying living in a home to be proud of.
We would not hesitate in recommending Neil to anyone considering using his services."

NORTH SHORE EXTENSION RENOVATION
We hired Ellipse Building earlier this year to renovate and extend our 1910 Edwardian cottage. The Ellipse guys did a great job blending the old with the new, and the workmanship on the new section is beautiful.
Neil from Ellipse was very straightforward to communicate with. He managed our project efficiently and used tradies for the tiling, plumbing and electrical work whose work we were very satisfied with.
He made a number of suggestions to alter some of the materials our designer had chosen and even some aspects of the design, and we were really pleased with the outcome of all his suggestions.
We had never taken on such a project before and were rather anxious clients at the start of the build, but we are thrilled with the results and so glad that we went with Ellipse Building.

LOWER NORTH SHORE PARTIAL NEWBUILD
We have built or rebuilt three houses over the last 20 years. With the experience of having "done it before" we chose Neil Elleson of Ellipse Building to undertake our project for three key reasons:
These factors are the key to the result we achieved at our home. Neil is not only an excellent project manager but he takes pride in his work and the work of his tradesmen. He understood what we were trying to achieve and took on board the same level of "ownership" in the project that we have.
Neil has delivered a fantastic outcome for us without any "surprises". The financial aspects of the project were agreed up front and although there are always variations in a project of this scope and nature, at no stage did we feel that either the quality was compromised nor that the costs were unreasonable.
We unreservedly recommend Ellipse Building and would be happy to allow prospective clients to see the quality of Neil's work.

UPPER NORTH SHORE GRANNY FLAT
Neil Elleson completed building my ‘granny flat‘ in Hornsby during 2014.
My architect and I interviewed a number of builders before choosing Neil as our builder. He was not the cheapest but he was able to answer all our questions in a satisfactory manner.
He said it would take 12 weeks to complete the job, he was only a day or two over that time frame and that was because I wanted some extras that were not specified. Neil’s quote turned out to be spot on and accurate .
Neil undertook his work in a thoroughly professional manner and I would recommend him to anyone who wants a building to live in and be proud to show off to any visitor.
UPPER NORTH SHORE GRANNY FLAT
I am pleased to write a testimonial to my experience with Ellipse.
In 2013 it was decided we would build a “granny flat” at our place for my Dad. Plans were drawn up, specifications prepared and builders interviewed. Neil Elleson, owner of Ellipse was interviewed by my father, our architect and me. After a number of builders were interviewed the three of us all agreed (for different reasons) that Neil would be our builder.
There were a number of reasons I was satisfied with our choice of builder. Here are some of the major reasons for choosing Neil as a builder:
. They started when they said they would.
. The cost of the work was exactly as quoted (other than a few extras that Dad wanted during the build).
. All Neil’s workers and sub-contractors were punctual, clean and a pleasure to have on our property.
. I can not speak highly enough about Neil; he was on site 95% of the time and his standards of excellence are outstanding .
. His starting and finishing dates for each part of the building were within a few days of what was written in the quote.
. At the end of each day, time was spent on cleaning up (vacuuming sweeping etc). For us it was a pleasure to have all this going on in our back yard.
My Dad was so thrilled with the job the builder Neil and the Architect Martin Dearnley had done that he invited them to his 80th birthday (I don’t think that happens too often)!
In closing I would recommend Neil Elleson to anyone wanting a quality job with minimal disruption.

HORNSBY HEIGHTS ARCHITECT DESIGNED GRANNY FLAT
Neil Elleson was the builder of a new secondary dwelling I designed in Hornsby Heights.
Our client for the project was a frail elderly widower with a professional background in consultancy
and the NSW Public Service.
Neil completed the project on time and on budget - with no surprises. His relationship with the
client was excellent to the extent our client appeared slightly sad to see the work finish.
Neil provided a high quality service and the resulting building was of a high standard.
Based on this experience, I am pleased to recommend Neil Elleson as a builder for houses and
buildings of a similar scale where the owner’s priorities are to have a good quality outcome, and a
good relationship with the builder.
